Veterinary Internship - ECC

Interns join a multi-disciplinary hospital environment, supported by residency-trained and board-certified ECC clinicians, and gain hands-on experience in a well-equipped ICU.    Role Overview  This 12-month internship is designed for veterinarians seeking to strengthen their skills in emergency and critical care, whether as preparation for residency applications or to deepen clinical confidence in ECC practice. We would be looking for the successful intern to join the team on the 28th September 2026.   The role is primarily based in the ICU, managing emergency referrals, with a rolling rota and no on-call duties. Interns will engage in clinical work, structured training, and collaborative case discussions with a strong focus on patient care and professional development.    Key Responsibilities  As an ECC Intern, you will:  *Deliver emergency and critical care under close supervision.  *Manage ICU patients and emergency referrals across multiple disciplines.  *Participate in case planning, diagnosis, treatment, and record keeping.  *Engage proactively in case discussions with clinicians, residents, and nursing teams.  *Contribute to research
