POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and controls the processing and packaging area of the plant on one shift to meet all production goals within established costs and company policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reports to the Shift Supervisor, a close relationship is maintained with the Quality Assurance Department. Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. The Production Lead shares joint responsibility with the shift supervisor for all functions of the operation on a shift basis. This includes directing all plant hourly work force personnel from ingredient making to off dock shipping.
