Social Media Associate - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing:
- Support the management of Jumia’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, blogs, and other relevant platforms.
- Assist in creating engaging and creative content that strengthens brand awareness, drives traffic, and encourages audience engagement.
- Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns, promotions, and seasonal activations, including key events such as Black Friday.
- Create and publish social media posts, stories, reels, and other content in line with Jumia’s brand guidelines and content calendar.
- Monitor social media conversations, trends, comments, and messages, and support timely and engaging responses to our online community.
- Help grow Jumia’s online community by increasing reach, followers, engagement, and overall audience interaction.
- Support the coverage and promotion of Jumia events and activities across social media platforms.
- Assist in developing creative ideas and content that encourage audience participation and generate interest in Jumia products and services.
- Monitor emerging social media trends, tools, formats, and content styles, and share relevant ideas with the team.
- Support basic social media reporting by tracking campaign performance, engagement, reach, and other key metrics.
- Work closely with the Social Media and Marketing teams to support day-to-day content and campaign execution.
- Contribute to other social media and digital marketing initiatives as required.
What we are looking for:
- Degree/ Diploma in Business/ Marketing/ PR/ Communication
- Excellent IT skills especially using web applications and Other ERP software
- At least 1 year experience handling social media for an organization
- Social Media enthusiast, influential online personality etc.
- Sharp, outgoing and up to date individual.
