Mining Construction Superintendent
A leading environmental and geotechnical specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Mining Construction Superintendent to oversee large-scale mining, earthwork, reclamation, and environmental remediation projects throughout the Western United States.
This individual will take ownership of daily site operations, leading field crews, heavy equipment activities, and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. The Superintendent will work closely with a remotely based Project Manager but must be comfortable operating independently as the senior leader onsite.
Candidates may live anywhere within the Pacific or Mountain time zones but must be comfortable travelling approximately 95% of the time, particularly throughout the Four Corners region.
Responsibilities
- Lead all daily onsite construction activities, including crews, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and production.
- Execute mining, earthwork, reclamation, and remediation work in accordance with project schedules, drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety plans, company procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Lead daily safety meetings and work closely with site safety personnel.
