Job Overview
We are seeking a Chess teacher for our afterschool program! This position offers the chance to combine your passion for teaching chess with the opportunity to work with elementary to middle school students. We are looking for individuals who are engaging and can foster critical thinking, strategic skills, and a love for chess among students and may be able to organize competitions for students to participate in the NYC area.
Part Time Working Hours: Monday and Tuesday at 3:30 to 5:00pm
Exact hours and days will depend on class enrollment.
Schedule
- Must be available to commit for the full 2026-2027 school year
- Students are grouped according to their age/grade level band
- Sessions are one-hour long
Responsibilities
- Lead afterschool chess class with groups of up to 14 students for Kindergarte
