Annotation Specialist

Team Description: Kitware’s computer vision team is a leader in the creation of cutting-edge algorithms and software for automated image and video analysis. Our solutions embrace deep learning and add measurable value to government agencies, commercial organizations, and academic institutions worldwide. We understand the difficulties in extracting, interpreting, and utilizing information across images, video, metadata, and text, and we recognize the need for robust, affordable solutions. As an Annotation Specialist, you will work on a team of dedicated individuals alongside our R&D Engineers and Researchers to advance the state-of-the-art in computer vision. Annotation is critical to the success of many of our computer vision projects; the annotations are used in scoring and evaluating our work as well as training our algorithms. Kitware’s Annotation team provides the key data annotation support within our computer vision team to meet these needs. The team uses a variety of software tools to label objects, activities, events, and other items of interest in images and video.  This is an as-needed, project-dependent position with variable hours. Work availability will ebb and flow based on project needs, and a set number of hours each week is not guaranteed. The position requires flexibility to
