SWPPP Inspector/ Environmental Monitor

This role focuses on field-based work: performing environmental inspections, Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPPP) inspections, observing construction progress, and ensuring compliance.  We are seeking an Environmental Monitor/ Stormwater Erosion Control Inspectors to conduct required inspections on active utility and construction sites across the state of New York. This individual should be experienced in a variety of projects and with focus on ensuring compliance with applicable erosion and sediment control and stormwater management regulations, ultimately resulting in a successfully constructed project.  The position would be attached to our Environmental Division in our Rochester, NY office.

Hybrid (home/office/job site) work schedules are available for this position.

Duties:

• Perform SWPPP inspections on active construction sites, documenting compliance with erosion and sediment control measures
• Preparing detailed technical SWPPP reports, and maintaining related on-site documents
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure Stormwater and Erosion Control compliance with provided Engineering construction documents.
• Conduct agricultural monitoring in coordination with landowners and farm operators
• Perform environmental and agricultural monitoring for electric transmission line or renewable energy related constructions projects permitted under New York State Public Service
