CTE Director

The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure: • Meet or be willing to meet the State School Administrator’s Certification. • Possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. • Meets approval criteria or has current approval as a local CTE Administrator based on requirements established by the Michigan Department of Education and Office of Career and Technical Education. Education, Training & Experience: • Master’s degree in Teaching, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or other CTE related field preferred. • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience and two (2) years of administrative experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Demonstrates knowledge and expertise with the implementation of CTE programs and services. • Passionate desire to work in an urban setting making a positive difference for all students. • Ability to establish and maintain appropriate level of authority as well as creating an atmosphere of support and confidence for students and staff. • Demonstrated ability to co
