If you want to use your skills to make a difference for the world, we're seeking a Staff Systems Software Engineer to join our team and help us build the game software and systems at the core of our products, with scalability and performance in mind.
What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performant, and scalable game software and systems using C++
Troubleshoot gaming program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning
Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and other developers to translate game design concepts into functional and engaging gameplay experiences
Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and gaming systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
Develop and integrate advanced features such as 2D and 3D graphics, audio systems, physics engines, and artificial intelligence
Integrate and utilize advanced peripheral devices such as motion controllers, VR/AR headsets, and other innovative input methods
Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter systems
Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems
Optimize game performance and ensure smooth gameplay across various platforms (PC, consoles, mobile)
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
Modify software programs to improve performance
Contribute to all phases of the game development lifecycle, from prototyping and development to testing and release
Analyze information processing and computation needs while planning and designing computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering
Stay abreast of the latest game development technologies and industry trends
Qualifications — Need to Have:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Minimum 8.5 years of experience in strong proficiency in C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages
Minimum 6 years of experience with game engines and/or systems such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or others
Minimum 6 years of experience with solid understanding of game development fundamentals, including graphics, audio, physics, and AI
Minimum 7 years of experience with 2D and 3D graphics, animation, and audio systems
Minimum 3 years of experience integrating and utilizing advanced peripheral devices (e.g., motion controllers, VR/AR headsets)
