Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking an Information Security Specialist (Senior-Level) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

• U.S. Citizen
• Active DoD Secret Clearance 
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher is required
• Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Information Security Specialist (Senior-Level) will support the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC) and serve as a senior cybersecurity professional responsible for protecting mission-critical information systems supporting critical Army and Department of Defense operations.

This role provides leadership and subject matter expertise for cybersecurity operations, Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, vulnerability management, security compliance, and accreditation efforts across enterprise information systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Government stakeholders, engineers, system administrators, and technical teams to strengthen cybersecurity posture, reduce organizational risk, and ensure regulatory compliance across enterprise environments.

The Information Security Specialist will lead cybersecurity initiatives, support system authorization activities, and ensure compliance with DoD, Army, and federal cybersecurity requirements. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity strategy, security controls, risk mitigation, continuous monitoring, and enterprise security operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead RMF implementation and security authorization efforts for enterprise information systems.
• Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for Government stakeholders and technical teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead vulnerability management activities, remediation efforts, and POA&M management.
• Conduct cybersecurity assessments, compliance reviews, and risk analyses.
• Manage system authorization packages and support ATO, IATT, and authorization lifecycle activities.
• Oversee continuous monitoring programs and security compliance initiatives.
• Review and validate security controls in accordance with NIST, DoD, Army, and federal requirements.
• Manage cybersecurity reporting requirements, metrics, and executive-level status briefings.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated into COOP planning and operational processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, and leadership to improve security posture.
• Lead audit preparation and support inspections conducted by Government and external organizations.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity personnel and provide technical leadership across the team.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, policies, procedures, and technical guidance.

Compensation Range:

• $100,000 - $130,000 Annually
• Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Eight (8+) years of experience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security programs.
• IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
• Extensive experience supporting RMF, vulnerability management, security authorization efforts, and cybersecurity compliance programs.
• Experience leading cybersecurity initiatives and advising senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level DoD information systems.
• Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.

Preferred:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• CISSP, CASP+, CISM, GSLC, CCSP, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification.
• Experience leading cybersecurity teams and mentoring junior personnel.
• Extensive experience with ACAS, Trellix, eMASS, and enterprise vulnerability management platforms.
• Experience implementing and validating NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
• Experience with DISA STIG implementation and cybersecurity compliance assessments.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and modern cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience supporting Army, DoD, or Federal Government environments.
• Experience supporting high-visibility, mission-critical enterprise systems.
