Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team in Orlando, FL. 

• U.S. Citizen 
• Active DoD Secret Clearance 
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher is required 
• Non-remote (relocation incentive available) 

The Systems Administrator (Senior) will serve as a senior technical resource supporting the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC). This role is responsible for the administration, security, modernization, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure supporting mission-critical Government operations. 

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, storage systems, cloud technologies, and backup solutions. The Senior Systems Administrator will work closely with engineering, networking, and cybersecurity teams while serving as a trusted advisor for infrastructure modernization efforts. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. 
• Design, implement, and manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, and enterprise infrastructure platforms. 
• Oversee patch management, configuration management, system hardening, and cybersecurity compliance initiatives. 
• Administer virtualization technologies, cloud services, storage platforms, and backup/recovery solutions. 
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts and infrastructure management processes. 
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and technology refresh initiatives. 
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and system resiliency strategies. 
• Manage enterprise backup operations utilizing technologies such as NetBackup, Veeam, and HPE StoreOnce. 
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to system availability, capacity, and reliability. 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational standards. 
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with applicable security requirements. 
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior administrators. 
• Support high-priority troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution efforts. 
• Advise stakeholders on infrastructure strategy, technology improvements, and operational best practices.

Compensation Range:

• $100,000 - $130,000 annually
• Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance. 
• IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
• Eight (8+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments. 
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems administration.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Experience administering virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions including Veeam, NetBackup, and HPE StoreOnce.
• Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation, system administration, and operational efficiency.
• Experience leading technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration standards.
• Experience mentoring junior administrators and serving as a senior technical resource for infrastructure operations.
• Experience monitoring system performance, capacity, availability, and reliability within enterprise environments.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, networking, and stakeholder teams to drive infrastructure strategy and operational improvements.
• Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained. 

Preferred: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. 
• Advanced Microsoft certifications supporting Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, or Hybrid Cloud environments. 
• Extensive experience with PowerShell automation and systems management. 
• Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V, and Linux-based environments. 
• Experience with ACAS, Nessus, Retina, and enterprise vulnerability management tools. 
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and hybrid enterprise environments. 
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments. 
• Experience mentoring junior administrators and leading technical initiatives. 
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security hardening, and compliance requirements. 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
