Abe Brown Ministries is a non-profit, Faith-based organization that has been in operation for more than 45 years. The InspHire Program is responsible for providing job placement and other support services for individuals with a lived incarceration experience who are being released to Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk and Pasco counties or an ex-offender referred to Abe Brown Ministries.

Job Purpose

The Intake Specialist is the initial connection for most prospective clients. The Intake Specialist takes a targeted approach to client recruitment by ensuring that prospective clients are informed of the InspHire program offerings and converting program applicants into enrolled clients. By exhibiting superior customer services skills, emotional intelligence, and professionalism, the Intake Specialist establishes, develops, and maintains positive interactions with prospective clients, determines candidate eligibility, gathers required documentation, completes/orders a background check, facilitates logistics for transitioning, and schedules eligible candidates for the InspHire Program Orientation session.

Initial Entry Support – Presents, promotes, informs and addresses inquiries regarding the InspHire Program to interested candidates. When appropriate, refers interested
