Job Description

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Calculate, verify and reconcile cotton invoice amounts for cash, equity, and redemption contracts.  Make necessary adjustments and update bales into inventory.
• Validate the customer’s invoice for accuracy and ensure values are in balance with our system, properly create payment information, and provide backup for the accounting department.
• Assist in addressing any applicable reconciliation issues with customers, IT, and other departments. 
• Understand data and process flows within invoicing to proactively research and resolve bottlenecks or data issues. 
• Assist with Data Check as needed making sure the invoice coincides with the contract before being processed.
• Assist with C4 Batch Review and clean CRS Batches daily.
• Assist in training of various functions in Domestic Execution Department.
• Reconciling and Analyzing invoice discrepancies
• Run various reports for cotton prices to report to NASS
• Perform all related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience considered.

 

Experience

1 to 2 years' experience in cotton or related industry and some general accounting.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to correct contract pricing issues and invoice processing discrepancies.
• Strong computer skills to assist in testing new program development as it applies to cotton invoicing.
• Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.

• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside parties. 
• Self-directed with a high sense of urgency and strong bias for action in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize workloads and perform multiple tasks that might have conflicting priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail a must. 
• Personal honesty, competence and integrity in functional leadership in domestic execution processes, tools and techniques.
• Cotton Invoice processing a plus.
• General accounting experience with emphasis in accounts payable, preferred.
