Expert Finance Business Partner Go-To-Market

 

The role and the team

As an Expert Finance Business Partner Go-To-Market (all genders), you’ll be the finance partner to Lucanet’s commercial organisation. You’ll shape decisions on where we expand, what we invest in and how we sell. This is a senior, hands-on FP&A role covering Sales, Marketing and Customer Success. You’ll own budget planning, forecasting, business cases and executive reporting for the part of the business with the biggest impact on our growth. It’s broad and highly visible. You’ll work at a quick pace and spend much of your week with VP-level and C-level leaders, who’ll look to you first for financial insight and constructive challenge.

You’ll join our FP&A team, where three finance business partners each support a different area of the business: G&A, R&D and Go-To-Market. You’ll report into the FP&A team leadership and work remotely from Spain, the UK or Germany, collaborating closely with colleagues in Madrid. A junior commercial finance analyst will join the team to support you, giving you room to focus on the analysis and partnering that move the business forward. What you’ll do

• Partner with the CRO and VP-level leaders across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success as their trusted finance advisor.
• Own Go-To-Market budget planning, forecasting and variance analysis, turning results into clear revised projections.
• Build business cases and scenario models for new regions, marketing investments and new sales approaches.
• Translate commercial initiatives into financial impact, with clear recommendations on investment trade-offs.
• Develop executive reporting on SaaS and Go-To-Market KPIs, including ARR, bookings, sales productivity and retention.
• Drive complex analytical projects using advanced financial modelling, FP&A tools and AI.
• Guide and develop the junior commercial finance analyst supporting your area.

What you bring (suggestions, calibrated to Expert/Senior level)

You have

• Built a strong track record in FP&A or finance business partnering within a B2B SaaS company.
• Partnered directly with Sales, Marketing or Customer Success leaders. You speak their language and challenge their plans with data.
• Owned budgeting and forecasting cycles end to end, and built financial models and business cases that shaped senior decisions.
• Presented complex financial insight clearly to VP and C-level stakeholders, and influenced decisions without formal authority.
• Worked hands-on with an ERP system, and you use AI tools deliberately to speed up and sharpen your analysis.

It’s a plus if you also have

• Experience from a Big Four firm, consulting or investment banking.
• Worked with Salesforce or a similar CRM.
• Mentored or developed junior finance colleagues.
