Job Description

Making preventive health the default for every human in Europe

The mission

At Lucis, we believe healthcare should be preventive, not reactive. We’re building the operating system for human longevity to help people add more healthy years to their lives.

The role

Lucis analyses 110+ biomarkers, builds personalised clinical protocols, and delivers them through an AI-powered preventive health product. We are live in France and opening the UK, Portugal and Spain.

This role exists to turn clinical judgement into the medical standards the company can run on.

We are hiring a Medical Director to own Lucis's clinical direction and medical safety system.

You will:

  • Decide what we test and why, and to what clinical standard the service runs

  • Set the risk posture and the governance model: who signs what, how incidents are handled, what Lucis can claim

  • Own the certification call and path: medical device classification, CE, ISO, or stay out of scope, and the argument behind it

  • Hire and lead the clinical operations and safety team.

  • Represent Lucis clinically with labs, insurers, institutional partners and regulators, alongside the CMO

  • Set the standards that product team should follow to make each release safe.

About you

You're passionate about the future of human health and want your work to help people stay healthy for longer. You move quickly from idea to execution, take full ownership of what you build, and work best with talented people who care as much as you do.

You thrive in fast-moving environments, learn by doing, and value feedback as a way to continuously improve.

You'll fit in well if

  • Have an MD and roughly 5 to 10 years of hospital practice

  • Have led people and systems since, in healthtech, diagnostics, pharmaceutical company as medical affairs or CRO

  • Have held a quality or regulatory seat, and can carry a certification decision rather than hand it to a consultant

  • Can set a standards and orchestrate other doctors to execute your vision

  • Are fluent in French and English, spoken and written

  • Use AI in your daily work and can explain when it fails and what you do about it

We might not be a fit if

  • You want to focus primarily on traditional bedside practice

  • You prefer pure research or citation work without shipping clinical standards

  • You are a copywriter without real clinical practice

  • You need every process already defined before you contribute

  • You prioritise predictable nine-to-five work over mission intensity

Practical details

  • Format: Full-time preferred. Flexible for the right senior profile.

  • Location: Paris mostly / Europe

  • Languages: French and English required. Additional language a plus.

  • Relocation support possible. Europe-based candidates welcome if willing to travel regularly to Paris.

The process

  1. Introductory call (20 minutes)

  2. Technical interview (30–60 minutes) — clinical judgement, protocol/evidence thinking, writing sample or case

  3. At-home case study (within two days)

  4. Deep dive and team conversations in Paris

  5. Reference calls
