Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead-Capital Ortho Lanham Med
Position Objective:
The Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead provides leadership to Orthopedic Medical Assistants by scheduling work; providing training to staff, including orientation of new staff, and cross training of staff; assisting leadership with feedback for staff performance evaluations; providing counseling to staff and recommending appropriate disciplinary action to leadership; and reviewing the work of staff.
The Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead works in an ambulatory setting providing assistance to Physicians/Physician Assistants and their patients. The Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead will perform a variety of duties including: rooming, educating, and helping patients during their visit. Responsibilities also include helping with minor procedures, casting/splinting, and suture/staple removal. The Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead provides stellar customer service in all patient interactions. The Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead works in a cooperative, friendly and results oriented manner with all other members of the practice staff and the Physician(s).
