Utility Coordinator

About the Position

We’re seeking a Utility Coordinator to support a large, complex, heavy-civil rail infrastructure program. This role will be responsible for identifying utility conflicts within the project corridor and coordinating with public and private utility owners to resolve them before they affect design or construction, keeping utility clearance aligned with the program’s overall schedule.

This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Identify existing utilities and coordinate new installations, developing strategies to resolve conflicts before they affect design or construction.
• Coordinate with public and private utility owners to confirm ownership, records, and relocation requirements, and negotiate utility agreements, cost responsibility, and reimbursement terms with project leadership and legal counsel.
• Maintain the utility conflict matrix, driving each conflict to a documented clearance decision, and track relocation schedules against committed dates, escalating slippage before
