Hardware Reliability Engineer
Role Purpose
We are hiring a Reliability Engineer to help ensure the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of our next-generation aircraft. In this role you are accountable for developing system reliability documents, understanding and mitigating potential risks, and contributing to the design of the aircraft fleet and ground support equipment, reporting to the Head of Hardware Architecture, Reliability, and Validation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform system safety and reliability assessments across aircraft systems and subsystems
- Lead the development, maintenance, and application of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs)
- Develop a ground-up understanding of aircraft reliability, including component- and subsystem-level failure modes and dependencies
- Establish measurable reliability targets for subsystems in partnership with design and engineering teams
Identify, assess, and communicate the highest-priority reliability risks
Recommend risk-reduction and reliability-improvement actions based on engineering analysis, test data, and operational experience
Support verification and validation activities to confirm that reliability requirements and targets have been met
Analyse test results, field data, failure reports, and operational trends to identify emerging issues and drive corrective actions
