In-house Legal Counsel

The Opportunity

MedMe is hiring its first dedicated in-house counsel to support our Canadian and US business. You'll sit at the centre of MedMe's enterprise commercial work, negotiating with the legal teams of some of the largest retail pharmacy and grocery chains in North America. You'll own MedMe's privacy and AI risk posture across HIPAA in the US, PIPEDA and provincial health privacy legislation in Canada, and a growing patchwork of US state privacy law. And you'll handle the corporate work of a two-entity, venture-backed company: financings, board matters, intercompany structure, equity. You'll also be the first call on employment law as the team continues to grow in both markets.

This is a generalist seat by design. You'll triage broadly, build MedMe's first legal playbooks and templates, and know when something is genuinely outside your depth and needs outside counsel or specialist advice.
