Senior Game Developer (m/f/d)

MERKUR Excellence, based in Raaba near Graz, was founded in 2018 as part of the MERKUR GROUP and specializes in game design and development, with a particular focus on casino games.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Game Developer (m/f/d) to join our team in developing high-quality slot machine games for casino platforms. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset to implement engaging gameplay features and maintain robust, high-performance code. If you have extensive experience with Unity and C#, enjoy working in an Agile environment, and thrive in cross-functional teams – this could be the perfect fit for you.

Your responsibilities

• As a Senior Game Developer (m/f/d) you will develop and maintain slot machine games for casino platforms using Unity.
• You'll implement gameplay logic and features in close collaboration with Producers, Game Mathematicians, and Artists within an Agile (Scrum) environment.
• Moreover, you will ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability across the entire development process.
• In addition, you'll contribute to designing clean software architecture and scalable systems while following best practices in game development.

Your profile

• Advanced experience with Unity
• Advanced knowledge of C# and strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience developing casino games, especially slot machines
• Fluent in English, German is nice to have
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
