Sr. Product Designer I (6859)

As a Sr. Product Designer I on one of our products Sightline, you’ll lead the research and design of AI-powered video intelligence experiences that help maintenance, logistics, and frontline teams work more safely, efficiently, and collaboratively across wearable, mobile, and web applications. You’ll partner closely with AI, full-stack, embedded, and data engineers as part of an integrated product team building mission-critical solutions for a broad range of customers.

What you’ll do:

• Lead end-to-end product design across wearable, mobile, and web experiences, from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity prototypes and developer-ready specifications. 
• Build and evolve the product design system, creating reusable components, interaction patterns, iconography, and accessibility standards that create a consistent experience across platforms. 
• Design for real-world frontline environments, including hands-free, voice-driven, live video, and remote collaboration experiences that account for protective equipment, noise, lighting, and limited connectivity. 
• Shape AI-powered workflows that help users search, understand, and reuse captured work while making AI outputs clear, trustworthy, and easy to verify or correct. 
• Lead research with frontline users, using field observation, interviews, and usability testing to understand how work actually happens and translate those insights into better product decisions. 
• Partner closely with engineers, product leaders, and customers, communicating design rationale, research findings, and tradeoffs through prototypes, presentations, and product demonstrations.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered research, interaction design, visual design, and shipped digital products. 
• Advanced Figma and design systems expertise, including high-fidelity prototypes, responsive layouts, UI kits, reusable components, and accessible design standards. 
• Experience designing complex, data-rich products across web, mobile, tablet, or wearable devices, with the ability to make technical information and workflows simple and actionable. 
• Experience designing emerging technology experiences, including AI, video, real-time communication, voice, or hands-free interactions; experience with maintenance, industrial, or frontline users is highly valued. 
• Ability to lead design within a fast-moving integrated product team, partnering closely with engineers, adapting to evolving requirements, and clearly communicating design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholder.

SALARY RANGE:  $100,000.00 - $120,000.00

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
