Senior Backend Engineer

You will be part of Mobileye's REM (Road Experience Management) department, which is    responsible for the automated creation of High-Definition (HD) maps, a key technology powering Mobileye's autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The map-building process involves executing advanced algorithms and processing massive amounts of data in parallel. This requires sophisticated distributed systems, Big Data technologies, and a deep understanding of both the map creation process and its underlying infrastructure. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining the core frameworks and infrastructure that enable large-scale, parallel execution of map-building jobs. We design and build scalable, reliable, and efficient platforms that orchestrate, execute, and monitor thousands of computational jobs, supporting both production and development environments. Our infrastructure serves as the backbone of the map creation process, with a strong emphasis on scalability, performance, reliability, observability, and advanced debugging capabilities for both map data and algorithmic code. This role is best suited for engineers with strong system-level thinking, a can-do approach, and a hands-on mindset, with the ability to design, build, and optimize complex systems operating at scale.
