Role Summary
The Medical Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing accurate, engaging, and compliant medical content while supporting the clinic's marketing and patient engagement initiatives. This role bridges clinical expertise and marketing execution, translating complex medical concepts into clear, patient-friendly communications that support health education, programme enrolment, and brand growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for healthcare, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Content Development
- Research, write, edit, and review medical and health-related content for patients and the public.
- Create content for medical programmes, educational materials, brochures, newsletters, website articles, and patient resources.
- Work closely with doctors and healthcare professionals to ensure clinical accuracy.
- Translate complex medical concepts into clear, engaging, and patient-friendly language.
- Develop FAQs, programme guides, patient onboarding materials, and educational resources.
- Ensure all content complies with MOH advertising regulations, HCSA requirements, PDPA requirements, and clinic policies.
Marketing & Communications
- Support planning and execution of marketing campaigns for clinic services and medical programmes.
- Develop content for social media, email marketing, website updates, and other digital platforms.
- Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners on marketing initiatives.
- Assist in creation of marketing collateral, presentations, and corporate partnership materials.
- Support events, webinars, workshops, and patient engagement activities.
- Help maintain consistency of the clinic's brand messaging and voice.
Medical Programme Support
- Collaborate with programme owners to develop programme-specific communications.
- Support launch activities for new clinical programmes and services.
- Develop lifecycle communication journeys, including onboarding materials, follow-up communications, and patient education content.
- Assist in tracking programme marketing performance and engagement metrics.
Digital & Content Management
- Maintain content calendars and publication schedules.
- Update website content and programme information as needed.
- Monitor content performance and optimise materials based on engagement data.
- Support search engine optimisation (SEO) initiatives where applicable.
Events & Community Engagement
- Plan, coordinate, and execute MORROW events, health talks, webinars, corporate wellness programmes, and community engagement activities.
- Support Head, Clinical Operations to plan CME workshops
- Work with doctors, allied health professionals, and external partners to develop event content and educational materials.
- Coordinate logistics, venue arrangements, registrations, speakers, vendors, and event communications.
- Develop and implement marketing plans to drive event awareness, attendance, and engagement.
- Create promotional materials, email campaigns, social media content, and event collateral.
- Support post-event follow-up activities, including attendee communications, feedback collection, and programme conversion opportunities.
- Track and report on event performance metrics, attendance, engagement, and business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen patient engagement and community outreach through educational initiatives and partnerships.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical writing, healthcare communications, healthcare marketing, or related field.
- Experience working within healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, wellness, or health-tech environments preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to simplify complex medical information for different audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations governing advertising and patient communications in Singapore preferred.
- Experience with content management systems, social media platforms, and email marketing tools is advantageous.
