Strategic Sourcing Manager, Sensors

Mission Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement, the Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in the development of Motional's self-driving vehicle hardware. The candidate will manage the sourcing strategy and selected suppliers for Sensor hardware (Radar and Cameras) through product development and serial production. The position has high visibility within the organization and offers the chance to be a part of a generational advance in driving technology. This role serves as a dedicated support function for the assigned hardware, focusing on direct procurement for current and future robo-taxi vehicle projects.

What you'll do:

• Execute, contribute and maintain a sourcing strategy for Sensor hardware (Radar, and Cameras) in coordination with business stakeholders to meet current and future product requirements.
• Manage the strategic supplier relationship as the primary commercial point of contact for Motional and each supplier.
• Understand the technology roadmap of critical suppliers and ensure alignment throughout the organization with a formal commodity strategy.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Supplier Quality to ensure suppliers are meeting program milestones
