Schedule: 40 Hours Weekly: Monday to Friday - Variable shifts

Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • Maintains awareness of patient’s condition, attitudes and limitations. Recognizes adverse patient reactions or conditions and makes appropriate reports to the Physical Therapy Director/Manager and/or to the patient’s physician. 

  • Maintains timely and appropriate documentation on patient records. 

  • Carries appropriate caseload within the constraints of the general guidelines as set forth by the Physical Therapy Director/Manager. 

  • Has input but is not responsible for setting goals and budget. 

  • Responsible for program development or assistance with the program development. 

  • Participates in the quality assurance activities. 

  • Has input into staffing, personnel issues, and performance appraisals. 

  • Evaluates, plans, and administers physical therapy treatment within departmental accepted standards of practice. 

  • Supervises support staff, students, and other professionals in the department. 

  • Makes recommendations for change, addition, or deletion of programs, equipment and supplies. 

  • Performs specific department management duties as may be determined in consultation with the Physical Therapy Director/Manager. 

  • Supports the Continuous Quality Improvement philosophy of Munson Medical Center 

  • Provides input, but is not responsible for, budget concerns 

  • Participates in quality assurance activities 

  • Actively involved in staffing, personnel issues and performance appraisals; provide Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager or Rehab Service Line Director with input for annual performance reviews, hiring, discipline and termination 

  • Responsible for recommendations regarding change, addition or deletion of programs, equipment and supplies 

Qualifications

What’s Required  

  • Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
  • One year of clinical experience. 
  • Current Michigan Physical Therapy License.
