n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
Our support team keeps expanding, and we’re looking for a Senior Support Engineer to help us raise the technical depth and quality of support as n8n grows across increasingly complex enterprise use cases.
Your main goal will be to solve n8n’s toughest customer challenges and help us deliver a world-class technical support experience at scale.
You’ll combine deep technical troubleshooting with customer empathy, product insight, and a builder mindset — resolving difficult problems while making our product, processes, and team better along the way.
OWN COMPLEX TECHNICAL & ENTERPRISE SUPPORT
Take ownership of complex technical issues across tickets, chat, and community channels, driving them from first investigation through to resolution.
Diagnose issues across workflow execution, APIs, integrations, networking, self-hosted environments, and performance using logs, reproduction environments, and systematic debugging.
Support enterprise customers through high-impact or business-critical issues with clear communication, strong judgement, and a focus on restoring value quickly.
PARTNER WITH ENGINEERING TO SOLVE ROOT CAUSES
Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product to investigate bugs, identify root causes, and provide high-quality technical context for escalations.
Distinguish between configuration issues, product defects, integration behaviour, and infrastructure problems so issues reach the right owners quickly.
Identify recurring patterns in customer issues and turn them into actionable product, reliability, and usability improvements.
SCALE HOW WE SUPPORT CUSTOMERS
Create and improve documentation, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, internal runbooks, and knowledge-base content that enable customers and teammates to solve problems faster.
Help evolve support processes, tooling, and automation as our customer base and technical complexity continue to scale.
Contribute to our paid on-call rotation, helping provide reliable support for urgent customer issues outside standard business hours.
RAISE THE BAR FOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Share technical knowledge, debugging approaches, and best practices with other Support Engineers and help teammates tackle increasingly complex cases.
Represent the voice of the customer with Product and Engineering, bringing evidence and context from real-world implementations into product discussions.
Contribute to the n8n community by answering technical questions, sharing best practices, and helping builders get more value from the platform.
REQUIREMENTS
Senior technical support experience: You have 5+ years of experience in technical support, support engineering, or another customer-facing engineering role and are comfortable owning complex problems end to end.
Enterprise customer experience: You have experience supporting technically sophisticated customers where reliability, urgency, clear communication, and stakeholder management matter.
APIs & integrations: You have a strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, authentication, data flows, and integrations and can systematically troubleshoot where things are breaking.
Networking fundamentals: You have strong knowledge of concepts including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, proxies, certificates, and common connectivity issues.
Technical fluency: You are comfortable working with JavaScript, Node.js, Docker, logs, and developer tools to investigate and reproduce technical problems.
Structured problem solving: You can take an ambiguous technical problem, form hypotheses, gather evidence, isolate the root cause, and clearly explain what you found.
Customer communication: You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, empathetic communication for audiences with different levels of technical expertise.
Ownership mindset: You don’t stop at resolving the individual ticket — you look for ways to prevent the problem recurring and leave the product, documentation, or process better than you found it.
North America & Eastern Time: You are based in one of the US states where n8n can currently hire — Texas, Virginia, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, or New Jersey — and can work Eastern Time business hours.
On-call participation: You’re comfortable participating in a paid on-call rotation to help support urgent customer issues outside standard working hours.
Nice-to-haves
n8n experience: You’ve used n8n hands-on and understand core concepts such as workflows, nodes, credentials, executions, and common integration patterns.
Kubernetes: You have hands-on experience troubleshooting applications running in Kubernetes environments.
Self-hosted infrastructure: You have experience supporting containerised or self-hosted software across Linux, cloud, or customer-managed infrastructure.
AI & automation: You have experience with workflow automation, AI tooling, LLM APIs, or other developer-focused automation platforms.
Observability: You’re familiar with logs, metrics, tracing, or observability tooling and know how to use evidence to narrow down production issues.
