Research Assistant position in Analysis and PDEs

Some Research Assistant positions are available to work on the project “On some evolution differential equations” led by Amin Esfahani, at the Department of Mathematics, Nazarbayev University. Nazarbayev University (NU) is located in Astana, Kazakhstan. It is a young international, English institution created with the support of leading global university partners.

The applicants must hold a PhD in Mathematics (by the start date of the position) within an area appropriate for conducting research, ideally with a solid background in Analysis and PDEs. The research topics will be related to Analysis of Evolution differential equations such as Well-posedness and global behavior of solutions, Existence and stability of traveling waves, Calculus of variations.

Job Description

Job Description (Responsibilities): Assist the leader and research students in implementing the approved annual work plan of the Project and disseminate the research results.

The contract is for one year with the possibility of extension up to two years. The starting date is June 2023, with a gross salary of 2500 USD per month.
