Director of Transit Quality

The Director of Quality – Transit leads the Quality organization across New Flyer Transit manufacturing operations. The role sets the direction for Transit Quality, ensures the Quality Management System is effective, develops capable teams, and works across the business to address the quality issues that have the greatest impact on customers and the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategy and performance

·               Carry out the Transit quality strategy, annual goals, improvement priorities, and resource plans.

·               Ensure consistent quality measures and review processes are in place across Transit plants. Use information provided by the Quality teams to identify key trends, risks, and priorities.

·               Keep senior leadership informed about quality performance, major risks, and recovery plans, and focus resources on the issues with the greatest impact.

Leadership and organization

·            Lead the Transit plant Quality Managers and hold them accountable for results and consistent execution of the New F
