Innovation Practice Area Expert
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will support the Innovation Practice Area in Western Europe, working closely with the Regional Innovation Lead and WE SAI Business Partners to drive profitable revenue growth, accelerate adoption of the full Innovation portfolio, and increase visibility of Innovation internally and externally.
You will act as a regional and local portfolio and sales enabler, collaborating with Business Partners, Product Leadership, Delivery, Sales Enablement, and Marketing to support go‑to‑market execution and client activation across the entire innovation lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
Revenue & Growth Support
- Support delivery of the Innovation WE Operating Plan (OP) by contributing to profitable revenue growth.
- Help identify growth opportunities, priority accounts, and entry points across the portfolio.
- Track progress versus targets and proactively flag risks, gaps, and opportunities.
Portfolio Focus
- Drive the full Innovation portfolio agenda in Western Europe, across the complete innovation lifecycle:
- Opportunity identification and demand spaces
- Idea creation and optimisation
- Concept, product, and packaging validation
- Forecasting and volumetric estimation
- In‑market tracking and learning loops
- Promote cross‑sell and full‑funnel adoption, connecting solutions into end‑to‑end client journeys.
- Act as an Innovation portfolio ambassador, ensuring consistent positioning and value messaging.
- Stay current on new and AI‑enabled solutions as they enter the portfolio.
Client Engagement & Activation
- Support regional client engagement plans for priority accounts.
- Assist client activation at HQ, regional, and local levels, in partnership with Business Partners.
- Prepare client‑ready materials to support strategic discussions and decision‑making.
Sales Process & Deal Support
- Support the end‑to‑end sales process, including:
- Opportunity shaping
- Proposal development
- RFI/RFP responses
- Work closely with Business Partners, Sales Enablement, and Delivery to ensure quality, speed, and consistency.
Sales Enablement & Materials
- Create and adapt sales enablement assets covering the whole portfolio, including:
- Commercial decks
- Proposal decks
- Demo scripts
- Sales campaign content and playbooks
- Training plans and internal briefs
- Ensure materials are client‑centric, outcome‑led, and aligned with global strategy.
Events, Webinars & Thought Leadership
- Support regional client meetings related to the Innovation Practice Area.
- Act as a visible Innovation representative in:
- Client events
- Webinars
- Internal forums
- Contribute to increasing Innovation awareness, credibility, and engagement.
Strategy Execution & Ways of Working
- Support implementation of the global Innovation sales and portfolio strategy at regional level.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment, scalability, and execution discipline.
- Share structured feedback from the field to improve solutions, messaging, and processes.
Core KPIs
- Revenue Contribution
- Contribution to monthly and quarterly Innovation revenue targets.
- Support margin‑positive growth across the portfolio.
- Sales Effectiveness
- Improved sales conversion rates.
- Reduced sales cycle time through better deal support and materials.
- Portfolio Adoption & Market Awareness
- Increased cross‑sell and multi‑solution adoption in priority accounts.
- Increased internal readiness and enablement across the full portfolio.
- Increased participation in client events, webinars, and Innovation engagements.
Skillset
- Strong expertise in BASES / Innovation solutions across the full lifecycle, from opportunity identification to in‑market tracking.
- Ability to connect solutions into end‑to‑end client narratives, not single products.
- High sense of ownership and urgency to drive client outcomes.
- Strong collaboration skills across sales, delivery, and product teams.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear and confident communicator, including client presentations and events.
- Structured, strategic thinker with a commercial mindset.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, consulting, or consumer research.
- Proven ability to support high‑performing commercial teams.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Good knowledge of NielsenIQ products, services, and data preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and sales acumen.
