We strive to make energy free for European households. We achieve this by developing new energy products with Europe’s leading technology companies and embed energy as a cost-saving feature for electric vehicles, heat pumps, battery storage systems and more.

About the team

Started by Stefan and Nils in 2024, the Nomos team now consists of former researchers, founders and senior engineers united by a deep frustration of the current energy system and the vision to build a category leading enterprise out of Europe.

We strive to build a strong culture of effective communication, ownership and belonging. In this critical phase of our venture this translates to working in-person in Berlin Mitte with a group of people that value meritocracy, curiosity and craftsmanship.

Engineering Internship

Who we are
Nomos is building a radically better energy retailer. Our ambition demands creativity, speed, and a willingness to tackle hard problems — technical and commercial. As an intern, you’ll work alongside a small team of engineers, operators, and builders, getting a front-row seat to the realities of launching a modern energy provider from scratch.

What you’ll do

• Work on high-impact engineering projects, from problem discovery to execution

• Tackle ambiguous, real-world problems in energy, automation, data infrastructure, or AI

• Partner with mentors to scope projects and own them end-to-end

• Use modern engineering tools and practices to build, test, and deploy solutions

• Work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams

• Help shape our engineering culture and how we operate as a company

Who you are

• Motivated and eager to learn: you jump into new domains and ramp up quickly

• Technical: pursuing (or recently graduated from) a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or you can demonstrate technical experience through projects or internships

• You thrive in ambiguity: you enjoy figuring out what the problem actually is, not just executing on instructions

• Proactive and resourceful: you take ownership, seek feedback, and are not afraid to ask questions

• Collaborative: you communicate clearly and work well with others
