We're looking for a Workday Financial Consultant who can own the Financials, Prism Analytics, and Accounting Center footprint of our Workday tenant. You'll sit at the intersection of accounting, data, and configuration - bringing operational data into Workday through Prism, turning it into accounting through Accounting Center rules, and keeping core Financials running cleanly. This is a hands-on configuration role for someone who understands both the debits-and-credits and the data pipeline behind them. You'll play a key role in a Workday implementation, from planning and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

Main Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Workday Financials: the Foundation Data Model (ledgers, accounts, cost centers, worktags), General Ledger, journals, and related financial accounting setup

• Build and manage Prism Analytics data ingestion - connecting external/operational source systems, designing datasets and derived datasets, and developing transformation pipelines to blend non-Workday data with Workday data

• Design and maintain Accounting Center configuration - mapping operational data to accounting rules, generating journals from transactional inputs, and supporting reconciliation back to the source

• Analyze business requirements and system integrations within the Workday Financials architecture and middleware, and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data validation routines across Financials and Prism

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Treasury stakeholders to gather requirements, run fit-gap analysis, and translate business needs into scalable configuration

• Manage security configuration (domain and business process security policies) for financial and Prism data

• Document configuration, processes, and accounting rule logic for audit and knowledge-transfer purposes.

Core Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience, with significant time in Workday Financials

• Demonstrated experience with Prism Analytics (data sources, datasets, pipelines, publishing) and Accounting Center (accounting rules, journal generation, transformation of operational data)

• Workday Pro certifications in Financials, Prism Analytics, and/or Accounting Center

• A general understanding of financial and accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Banking) and, specifically, invoicing, banking, and payment-settlement processes

• Experience gathering requirements and delivering configuration in a structured, testable way

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with both Finance and technical teams

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload, and execute tasks independently with timely follow-up and resolution

• Experience supporting Workday implementations or major enhancement projects.

This is a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
