Shipping & Receiving Manager
SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Manager will be responsible for all product received into and/or shipped out of one of any one of our facilities during an assigned shift. They will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of shipments, meeting deadlines and daily inventory counts.
During their shift, the Shipping and Receiving Manager supervises the loading dock floor, overseeing three main functions of the department: receiving, inventory control/cooler or freezer operations and shipping. They will be responsible for maintaining company guidelines with respect to quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures. The Shipping and Receiving Manager also directs and plans the activities of all staff through subordinate leadership to execute an accurate and on-time shipping function.
This position will report to our Plant Operations Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of product
- Ensure all department functions are compliant with company standards
- Review paperwork for accuracy including weight and lot numbers
- Responsible for understanding and having the ability to train others on our inventory system
- Organize and monitor the storage and distribution of goods as they are received
