2 Student Assistants for the Health Area
We are recruiting two Student Assistants: one to support our Clinical Medicine & Diabetes activities and one to support our Global & Public Health activities. When applying, please indicate which position you are primarily interested in and briefly explain how your academic background and interests relate to that area.
The Health Area is led by Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Flemming Konradsen, who is responsible for the Foundation’s development and implementation of research and maturation of programmes within health.
You will join a highly international and interdisciplinary environment and support colleagues with analytical, research-related, data collection and processing, documentation and reporting, organising of larger convenings, and administrative tasks. Your primary assignments will be linked to either the Department of Clinical Medicine & Diabetes or Global & Public Health.
The Job
As a Student Assistant, you will work closely with colleagues in your primary department while also contributing to selected activities across the Health area. Both positions involve a combination of analytical, research-related and practical tasks. The Student Assistant in Global & Public Health will work mainly on programmes and tasks relating to activities in Denmark and the Nordic Countries while projects and assignments in Clinical Medicine & Diabetes may span across Denmark, Europe, India and East Africa.
Your tasks will include:
- Assisting in the planning, implementation and maintenance of various projects, programmes, and partnerships
- Supporting fact-finding, stakeholder mapping, scientific literature reviews, data collection and qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Conducting analyses and preparing written materials
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations
- Assisting in coordination, booking and execution of seminars, conferences, meetings and workshops, including planning agendas, preparing briefing documents, and writing minutes
- Support communication efforts, incl. drafting material for social media platforms, newsletters and website maintenance
- Handling various administrative and ad hoc tasks
As part of your role, you will receive continuous feedback and engage in sparring with the team, and you will become a part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s student network. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend and gain insights from a variety of events, symposia, and experts at the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The working hours will be approximately 12-15 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies. You will become part of a group of seven Student Assistants in the Health Area and will usually divide the days between you.
