Technical Program Manager – WAN

About Nscale

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager – WAN to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Nscale's wide-area network across Europe. You'll make sure our backbone, interconnects, and new site connectivity are delivered on time, at scale, and with high reliability.

You'll sit within our Deployment organisation, a build org that owns every step from hardware arrival through to customer acceptance, and drive cross-functional programmes spanning Network Engineering, Data Centre Operations, carriers, and commercial teams. The role involves regular travel to sites and partners.

What You'll be Doing

  • Drive end-to-end WAN programme delivery, including backbone expansion, new site and region bring-up, capacity upgrades, and network optimisation.
  • Build and manage detailed programme plans, tracking dependencies, identifying risks early, and keeping delivery on schedule.
  • Coordinate Network Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, Procurement, and external vendors to deliver against milestones.
  • Manage carriers, dark fibre and wavelength providers, IXPs, and hardware vendors through ordering, provisioning, and issue resolution.
  • Make sure WAN deployments meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements before they go into production and are handed to customers.
  • Put in place processes, tools, and reporting that improve execution, visibility, and predictability.
  • Give clear, regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes.

About You

  • 5+ years in technical programme or project management, ideally in networking or infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering large-scale WAN, telecom, or data centre interconnect programmes, ideally at a hyperscaler or major network vendor (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Oracle/OCI, Cisco).
  • Solid understanding of WAN concepts: BGP and routing, capacity planning, fibre, DWDM, peering, and transit.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programmes with strong planning, risk management, and dependency tracking.
  • Experience working with carriers, ISPs, and infrastructure vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in hyperscale or cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML or HPC infrastructure requirements.
  • Experience with network deployment at global scale across multiple countries.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.

Why this role matters

Our WAN connects every Nscale site to our customers. This role decides how quickly new capacity comes online and how reliably it performs once it does.
