Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent - IT Applications to lead a team responsible for the support and ongoing management of our core business applications across Sustainability, Human Resources and Finance.

Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Head of IT Applications, this role will oversee approximately six application support analysts working across multiple time zones. You will help ensure our applications remain available, secure and well controlled, while supporting effective change management and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of application support analysts.
• Oversee the support and ongoing management of globally delivered business applications.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical solution designs.
• Review and maintain functional documentation.
• Coordinate application testing, user training and release activities.
• Manage application changes, developments, patches and upgrades.
• Coordinate user requests through the ticketing system and remove barriers affecting delivery.
• Maintain controls across application access, segregation of duties and change management.
• Coordinate periodic access reviews and address identified control deficiencies.
• Provide supporting evidence for internal and external audits.
• Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders, application providers, integrators and support partners.
• Promote a zero-harm mindset and contribute to a constructive, collaborative workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading teams of application analysts.
• Demonstrated broader leadership experience, ideally within the range of 3 to 5 years.
• Hands-on experience managing a portfolio of globally delivered applications.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end application lifecycle.
• Experience preparing functional design documents and developing functional and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• A consistent focus on follow-through, delivery and achieving outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The flexibility to support teams and activities across different time zones. 

Highly regarded

• Previous experience as a functional consultant.
• Experience managing SOX and IT general controls within an application environment.
• Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing platform.
• Knowledge of matrix-based security designs.
