EHS Specialist– Environment, Health & Safety

Position Description

The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Oklo's Environment, Health & Safety programs across our offices, laboratories, test facilities, and future construction and plant sites. You will help build a safety culture that fits a fast-moving advanced fission company, one where safety is a shared responsibility and a driver of excellence rather than a box-checking exercise.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Develop, maintain, and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures that comply with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations
• Conduct workplace hazard assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety inspections, and drive corrective actions to closure
• Lead incident reporting and investigation, including root cause analysis and lessons learned
• Manage environmental compliance activities, including permitting, waste management, and reporting
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Support industrial hygiene, chemical safety, and hazardous materials management programs
