Our Rwanda program, founded in 2007 is our largest and operates under the local brand Tubura. We have more than 3,000 staff across all four provinces of Rwanda, as well as in Kigali. Together, we served more than 2.8 million farmers in 2024. We work closely with the government to support national efforts to improve food security. Additionally, we help channel funding and resources to promising agri-SMEs, supporting farmers by providing a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chili.

About the Role

Seeking an agriculture professional with 1–2 years of Hybrid Maize seed industry experience and a Bachelor's in Agriculture to serve as Seed Quality Control Coordinator. You will oversee quality, SOPs, and compliance for our 4,000 MT processing plant.

Responsibilities

Seed Quality Assurance & SOP Compliance

• Oversee comprehensive quality assurance, SOP implementation, and regulatory compliance across every stage of the 4,000 MT seed processing plant to meet partner, client, and regulatory standards.

Processing Plant Operations & Technical Guidance

• Partner closely with the Processing Coordinator to provide technical guidance, conduct continuous quality inspections, and balance operational efficiency with production targets.

People & Team Management

• Lead and manage plant quality staff and casual workers, driving capacity building and training to ensure strict adherence to SOPs and quality standards.

Stakeholder Management & System Improvement

• Act as the primary liaison between internal processing teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies while continuously strengthening quality control systems across the seed value chain.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

• 1–2 years of experience in the hybrid maize seed industry, seed quality control, or plant operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture
• Proven expertise in seed quality assurance, SOP development, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated technical understanding of 4,000 MT processing plant operations and quality risk mitigation.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience training diverse plant staff and casual workers
