Junior Trader

Optimal on behalf of its client, a worldwide marine chemical supplier company serving the global shipping industry, is seeking a Junior Trader / Consultant to join the company’s Trading Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing buy and sell orders under the guidance of senior traders, ensuring that trades align with company strategies
• Support senior traders in monitoring market risks, ensuring compliance with company policies, trading limits, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading activity, market conditions, and trade performance
• Assist in maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and brokers, providing updates on market conditions, prices, and other relevant factors
• Communicate regularly with senior traders and back office staff to ensure smooth coordination across trading activities
• Respond to inquiries from clients and provide them with the necessary trade details or market updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant working experience, with a strong interest in commodity trading or marine lubricants
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset
• Excellent command of English language
• Strong analytical and numerical skil
