At TPL Insurance, data science drives smarter decisions and better customer outcomes. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and optimization solutions to support insurance pricing, risk assessment, underwriting, and portfolio performance.

This role translates policy, premium, claims, and customer data into actionable insights that enhance commercial outcomes and customer experience. As a hands‑on contributor, you will collaborate with business owners, insurer partners, underwriting, product teams, and external stakeholders to take solutions from definition through deployment and monitoring.

Requirements

What you’ll own

• Develop insurance models using statistical methods, GLMs, and machine learning for pricing, risk segmentation, and claims.
• Analyse portfolio performance (premiums, exposures, claims, loss ratios, customer segments) to identify risks and recommend actions.
• Own data preparation and quality by sourcing, reconciling, and documenting datasets with clear definitions and controls.
• Validate models rigorously, preventing data leakage, testing across time periods, and explaining assumptions and limitations.
• Deliver models into production
