Deputy Director (Accounts)

This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage NAFSA’s accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, payments, and financial record maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of financial statements/reports.
• Implement internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards and government financial rules.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, ledger reviews, and maintenance of supporting documentation for audits.
• Coordinate external and internal audit requirements and ensure timely resolution of audit observations related to accounts.
• Supervise accounts staff and ensure adherence to SOPs, segregation of duties, and documentation discipline.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s / bachelor’s (minimum 16 years) in Accounting/Finance or related discipline; professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of overall experience in Finance with atleast 5 years relevant experience  in accounts/finance operations, including financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.
• High integrity and attention to detail.
