Inspector - SDBRC Plant - Punjab / Sindh (Rural) / KPK | NAFSA

This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct plant pest surveillance and monitoring activities in farms, nurseries, markets, storage areas, and other approved premises in accordance with notified programmes and SOPs.
• Collect official samples of plants, plant products, pests, and related material for diagnostic analysis, ensuring chain of custody and documentation.
• Support diagnostic coordination through proper sample handling, dispatch, follow-up of results, and maintenance of diagnostic records.
• Inspect registered and applicant plant-related businesses and facilities (nurseries, packhouses, warehouses, treatment providers, etc.) to verify compliance with approval conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and verification exercises by providing field verification reports and compliance observations.
