Market Access Officer - Plant
This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
Identify and analyse potential international markets for export of plant and plant products from Pakistan, including assessment of phytosanitary access conditions and trade feasibility.
Prepare market opportunity briefs identifying priority countries/commodities, estimated trade potential, SPS gaps, and recommended actions for market entry.
Coordinate and provide technical oversight of consultants/experts/firms engaged for market access exploration and negotiation support (where outsourced).
Monitor SPS developments in target markets, including changes in import regulations, emergency measures, and evolving phytosanitary standards affecting access.
Track progress of market access initiatives and maintain structured records of contacts, submissions, consultant outputs, and follow-up actions.
