You will develop and maintain reporting around Work in Progress (WIP), Accounts Receivable (AR), billing performance, cash collections, and other key revenue cycle metrics. Working cross-functionally with Finance, Billing, Operations, and Technology teams, you will identify trends and bottlenecks, improve visibility into financial performance, and help implement solutions that accelerate billing, strengthen collections, and improve cash flow.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with data, building meaningful reporting, improving processes, and partnering with business leaders to drive measurable results.

Core Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and reporting for WIP, AR, billing performance, revenue cycle metrics, cash collections, and operational KPIs.

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations for Finance Operations leadership.

  • Support recurring executive, financial, and operational reporting requirements.

  • Monitor performance trends and proactively identify areas requiring additional attention or corrective action.

Revenue Cycle & WIP Management

  • Monitor and analyze WIP balances, aging, billing readiness, and revenue-cycle trends.

  • Partner with operational teams to identify barriers preventing jobs from progressing through the revenue cycle.

  • Develop reporting that highlights aged WIP and opportunities to accelerate billing and revenue realization.

  • Support initiatives designed to improve billing readiness, reduce WIP aging, and strengthen overall revenue-cycle performance.

  • Provide teams with visibility into workload and revenue-generation opportunities.

Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow

  • Analyze open AR balances, aging trends, collection performance, and potential payment risks.

  • Develop reporting and analytical tools that support collection activities and improve cash flow visibility.

  • Partner with Billing, Collections, Finance, and Operations teams to identify and resolve issues affecting customer payments.

  • Monitor key AR performance indicators, including aging, collections trends, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

  • Identify opportunities to reduce aged receivables and improve cash conversion.

Metrics, Reporting Standards & Data Integrity

  • Define, document, and maintain key business metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.

  • Build scalable reporting frameworks that provide consistent visibility into revenue-cycle performance.

  • Develop scorecards and dashboards that enable teams to proactively manage workload, billing, revenue generation, and collections.

  • Ensure reporting consistency, accuracy, and data integrity across systems and business units.

  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data governance and establish consistent definitions for key financial and operational metrics.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, eliminate manual processes, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Partner with Technology and business teams to automate workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Support the implementation, testing, and optimization of new systems, integrations, reporting solutions, and business processes.

  • Recommend process improvements based on data analysis and operational trends.

  • Help develop scalable processes that support continued organizational growth.

Core Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, revenue operations, billing, accounts receivable, revenue-cycle management, or a related function.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets and developing financial or operational reporting.

  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, financial, or operational systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.

  • Demonstrated experience developing dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, or management reporting.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Operations, Billing, Collections, and Technology teams.

  • Experience identifying process gaps and developing practical solutions that improve efficiency and financial performance.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.

  • Experience with revenue-cycle management, billing operations, WIP management, or AR analytics.

  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles and financial reporting.

  • Experience supporting process-improvement, automation, or data-governance initiatives.
