About the Role

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across multiple teams, influencing technical direction through expertise, collaboration and strong engineering practices.

You’ll work closely with Engineering Managers, Architects and delivery teams to drive high-impact technical initiatives, improve engineering quality and developer experience, and promote modern software engineering practices. The role has a strong focus on Continuous Delivery, automation, observability and scalable architecture.

You’ll also mentor engineers, contribute to technical strategy and help teams make better technical decisions — without relying on formal authority.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager for the Payments team, based in Budapest, Hunga
