We are looking for Optical Engineers to join our R&D Projects Group
We are looking for Optical Engineers to join our R&D Projects team. Our output is state of the art laser products for a wide range of applications spanning from bio-imaging to sensing and quantum computing. We focus on maturing complex ideas into products and do so in a project driven environment. Hence, we need people with an affinity for going all the way from prototype to finished product and working in teams across disciplines.
The role
As an Optical Engineer, you will help design, build, and validate advanced laser systems.
You will join a team of highly talented and motivated colleagues working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and high-quality product development.
Initially, you will contribute to high-power fiber laser projects with the aim of scaling output power from fiber amplifiers and interface to frequency conversion technology.
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
Have a strong background in photonics with hands-on experience in high-power fiber lasers and free space optics, gained in either industry or academia.
Possess solid laboratory skills and enjoy hands-on experimental work
Collaborate effectively in both small and large project teams, working with members from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds
Have a strong educational background in lasers, optical engineering, or physics. A PhD is considered a strong advantage.
Communicate fluently and professionally in English
