Product Manager
Product Manager
Pi.Security · San Francisco, CA · Full-time · Onsite, 5 days a week
About Pi.Security
Pi is building an agentic product security platform for teams that need to secure software at the speed they build it.
Modern development is accelerating, but security knowledge is still scattered across code, tickets, documents, incidents, reviews, and the people who remember why decisions were made. Pi turns that context into institutional security memory, helping teams triage faster, remediate in context, prevent repeat vulnerability classes, and embed security guardrails where engineering work already happens. We are building for a future where security is not a blocker at the end of the development process. It is part of how software gets designed, reviewed, shipped, and improved.
Pi was recognized on Fast Company's 2026 Next Big Things in Tech list and covered by Forbes!
About the Role
Pi's agents find, prioritize, and remediate security issues inside our customers' codebases, and engineers ask Sloane, our AI assistant, about their security posture and history. The product surface is growing faster than any roadmap can keep up with, and the models underneath it get better every quarter. We're hiring a Product Manager to decide what Pi builds next and why. You'll work directly with our founders, engineers, and security researchers, and spend real time with the security and engineering leaders who use Pi every day. This is an early product role: there is no established process to inherit and no backlog waiting for you. You'll shape both. The team works together in person in San Francisco, five days a week.
What You'll Do
Own the roadmap for major areas of the Pi platform, from discovery and definition through launch and iteration.
Stay close to customers. Talk with security and engineering teams every week, run feedback loops with design partners and enterprise accounts, and turn what you hear into what we ship.
Stay close to the model. Understand what frontier models can do today and where they're heading, and design for the capabilities arriving next.
Define the trust bar for autonomous agents: what Pi can fix on its own, where a human needs to approve, and how we measure the quality of agent output over time through evals and real-world outcomes.
Shape how Pi fits into the places engineering work already happens, including GitHub, issue trackers, chat, and coding agents.
Shape the memory and context model that lets Pi accumulate real knowledge of a customer's codebase, decisions, and history.
Prototype to learn. Use AI coding tools to build and test ideas yourself before asking engineering to commit to them.
Define success before launch, then let adoption, retention, and customer outcomes settle debates.
Partner with sales and marketing on how new capabilities are positioned, launched, and adopted.
Build the lightweight product practices (specs, prioritization, launch reviews) that will scale as the team grows.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping technical products that real users adopted.
Experience building products for developers, security teams, or other technical users.
Technical depth to work as a peer with engineers: you can read a pull request, follow an architecture discussion, and reason about why a model behaves the way it does.
Hands-on daily use of AI coding tools and agents, with an informed point of view on where they succeed and where they fall short.
Experience with products whose output is probabilistic, including setting acceptance bars and measuring quality over time.
Clear writing and the ability to drive decisions across engineering, customers, and leadership.
Comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership. You frame the problem, propose the path, and move the team forward without waiting for direction.
Comfort working through ambiguity and owning outcomes end to end in an early-stage company
Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days a week
Nice to Have
A background as a software engineer, or time spent writing production code before moving into product.
Experience in application security, product security, or vulnerability management, as a practitioner or building tools for practitioners.
Experience with developer tooling such as CI/CD, code review, developer productivity, or AI coding tools.
Experience working with agent orchestration, evals, RAG, or context management.
Early-stage startup or founder experience, including work with design partners on 0-to-1 products.
Familiarity with enterprise adoption motions, platform integrations, or marketplace distribution.
Success In This Role Looks Like
Customers adopt and rely on the capabilities you ship, and you can show the evidence.
Engineering knows what we're building and why, and spends less time on work that doesn't matter.
Pi's agents are trusted to do more on their own, because the quality bar is clear and measured.
The product team has a rhythm that holds up as Pi grows.
Why Pi
Pi is backed by a $35 million Series A led by Third Point Ventures and Brightmind Partners, with support from CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz and Armis founders Yevgeny Dibrov and Nadir Izrael. Leading AI companies and enterprise innovators already rely on Pi, including xAI, Notion, Navan, Lemonade, and Teramind, and it's available through AWS Marketplace and a strategic partnership with Bugcrowd.
Our founders have lived inside this problem. Guy Arazi was a security researcher at Microsoft, and Yoni Ramon led offensive security work at Tesla. You'll work closely with both.
We're early enough that every hire shapes the product, the team, and how we work. You'll build alongside a humble, passionate, ambitious, and genuinely fun team that cares deeply about what we're building and about our customers.
We hire for four things, and we work this way every day:
Speed. Velocity over polish. Something impactful this week beats a perfect plan for next quarter.
Depth. You go past the point of requirement. That is usually where the interesting part starts anyway.
Curiosity. The people who do best here ask the thing everyone assumed was already answered.
Ambition. We take on assumptions this industry accepts as given, and disprove them.
