Day Rate: Dependent on experience
Contract Duration: 12 months (initial assignment, with scope for extension)
Location: Dublin 2 – Hybrid, 1–2 days per week onsite
Engagement Structure: PAYE or Umbrella Company only
Salary Range: €65,000 - €95,000

This role has a particular focus on backend and data quality, so we’re looking for an experienced SDET with strong automation skills alongside hands-on experience testing databases, SQL and modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans and test cases across UI, API, backend and data systems.
- Develop and execute SQL-based testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across systems.
- Test and validate data pipelines, transformations and workflows across platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers and cross-functional teams to define test coverage and quality goals early in the development lifecycle.
- Build, maintain and scale robust automation frameworks for UI, API, backend and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reusable test utilities, APIs and libraries to improve efficiency and consistency in automation.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks using technologies such as Python and Selenium.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Analyse test results and data, identify root causes of defects and work with development teams to drive timely resolution.
- Continuously improve quality engineering practices by introducing new standards, tools and processes.
