Senior Platform Engineer

Role & responsibilities: What you will do

As a Senior Platform Engineer you're work will encompass architecting and evolving the Polar platform - ensuring the system remains fast, resilient and operationally sound as we scale.

The Polar platform sits directly in the critical path of global payments, billing infrastructure and financial workflows. Reliability, uptime and correctness are essential, while maintaining the ability to move quickly and continuously improve the product.

In close partnership with the team, you’ll evolve the systems and architecture behind Polar to support increasing traffic, product complexity and regulatory demands – ensuring the platform can scale without compromising stability, performance or developer velocity.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working across the platform, application and infrastructure layers that power Polar - from core infrastructure and observability, to shipping new core primitives used within the platform. You'll work closely with the team to ensure our systems scale with increasing traffic, architectural complexity and regulatory demands, treating reliability as a product requirement and scalability as an architectural discipline.
