Sexuality Educator/TAP Advisor

POSITION SUMMARY The TAP Advisor/Sexuality Educator position provides high quality sex education to youth, young adults and parents located in Nassau County. They are responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Teen Advocate Project (TAP). This position facilitates evidence-based curricula and outreach to youth and adults in Nassau County. The Advisor/Sexuality Educator develops programming for the participating youth who engage their peers with sexual and reproductive health information and care they need using a variety of approaches, including workshops, outreach, community engagement, events and social media. The Advisor/Sexuality Educator will plan and implement the daily operations of the youth development program, manage the youth focused social media platforms, increase meaningful outreach to youth in the priority areas. The Advisor/Sexuality Educator will inform, educate, and raise awareness for SRH and SRJ health related topics to engage youth in Hempstead priority areas. The Advisor/Sexuality Educator will promote PPGNY services to youth in Hempstead through the Teen Clinic program.
