About PrescriberPoint:
The brainchild of David Ricks, CEO of Lilly, and incubated by Boston Consulting Group’s Digital Ventures, PrescriberPoint is a Series A healthtech whose mission is to help Health Care Professionals reduce the time, tension, and anxieties they and their patients encounter during the prescribing process. We are funded to date by Lilly, Pfizer, Adobe, and MasterCard. We offer an end-to-end, AI-centric solution that starts with medical knowledge (35k drug micro-sites) and related tools, including coverage look ups and samples, and finishes with an intake pharmacy and prior authorizations insider EMRs.
Why This Role Exists
PrescriberPoint runs paid media for pharmaceutical clients and for our own marketing. We need someone who can own the media strategy function — channel mix, audience architecture, budget ownership, vendor relationships, and performance frameworks — while managing the marketing team that executes paid media and lifecycle campaigns.
That said, we're a lean startup. You'll also roll up your sleeves and build campaigns yourself when the team is at capacity or speed matters. This isn't a "strategy only" role — you need the hands-on chops to execute what you plan.
You'll split your time between client campaigns and internal initiatives — product marketing, corporate awareness, ABM for brand sales, and institutional sales targeting health systems. The mix will shift based on business priorities.
What You'll Own
Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop channel strategies for client and internal campaigns — which platforms, what mix, how budget should flow
- Build audience targeting frameworks that align with campaign goals across HCPs, pharma brand teams, and health system buyers
- Create media plans with clear KPIs, pacing recommendations, and measurement approaches
- Own media budget recommendations and be accountable for spend efficiency across campaigns
- Translate briefs into actionable media strategies the execution team can build
- Work with cross-functional partners on internal initiatives — product GTM, corporate awareness, ABM for brand sales, and institutional sales targeting health systems
- Test new channels and approaches on internal campaigns before recommending them to clients
- Jump into campaign builds when needed — you're not above getting your hands dirty in-platform
Media Operations & Vendor Management
- Own DSP and platform relationships — negotiate rates, evaluate new vendors, manage partnership health
- Build and maintain the media strategy playbook — methodologies, templates, and standards the team operates from
- Establish channel selection criteria and budget allocation frameworks that scale across clients
- Stay current on platform capabilities and healthcare media landscape to inform strategic recommendations
Performance & Optimization Frameworks
- Define success metrics and reporting frameworks for campaigns
- Identify underperforming campaigns and recommend strategic pivots (not just tactical tweaks)
- Build benchmarks and performance standards across channels and verticals
- Partner with Value Engineering on QBR prep, ROI models, and client performance narratives
- Advise on media feasibility during client pitches, scoping conversations, and RFPs
Team Management
- Manage the engagement and media execution team — prioritize workload, provide feedback, develop skills
- Ensure quality and consistency across campaign builds and lifecycle programs through reviews and coaching
- Create clear handoff processes between strategy and execution
